Cookie Policy

GoSales Solutions
Last updated: [DATE] Version: 1.0 (draft — pending legal review)

1. About this policy

This policy explains how GoSales Solutions (“GoSales”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on [www.gosalessolutions.com] and what your choices are.

It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains what we do with personal data more generally.

Who is responsible for your data

GoSales Solutions — [Full registered address, Edenderry, Co. Offaly, Ireland]

Company registration number: [CRO number]

Contact for privacy queries: [privacy@gosalessolutions.com]

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits — work in comparable ways. Throughout this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.

Cookies are used to make a site work, to remember your settings, to measure how the site is used, and in some cases to build a profile of your interests for advertising.

First-party cookies are set by GoSales. Third-party cookies are set by another organisation whose service we have chosen to run on our site, such as Google.

3. Your consent

We only place strictly necessary cookies without asking you first. Every other cookie — including analytics — is placed only after you have given consent through our cookie banner.

You can:

  • accept all cookies
  • reject all non-essential cookies
  • choose which categories you allow

Rejecting is as easy as accepting. If you do nothing, no non-essential cookies are set.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking [Cookie Settings] in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that happened before you withdrew it.

We will ask you to confirm your preferences again after six months, or sooner if we make a material change to the cookies we use.

Browser controls

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working. Instructions are available in the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox.

4. Categories of cookies we use

4.1 Strictly necessary — always on

These cookies are required for the site to function and for security. They cannot be switched off through our banner, and we rely on the exemption in the ePrivacy Regulations rather than consent.

To confirm before publishing: replace the bracketed names above with the actual cookies your site and CMP set. A scan with a tool such as Cookiebot, CookieYes or your browser’s developer tools will give you the exact names and durations.

4.2 Analytics — consent required

These cookies help us understand how visitors find and use the site, which pages are read, and where people drop off. We use this to improve the site. They are set only if you consent.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. Data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area; where that happens, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We have configured Google Analytics to anonymise IP addresses and we do not use it to identify individuals.

Google’s own privacy information is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

4.3 Functional — consent required

These cookies remember choices you make and enable embedded content such as booking calendars, video players and chat widgets.

Note: if the site embeds a meeting scheduler, a video, a map or a chat widget, each of those sets its own cookies and belongs in this table. Embedded content must not load until consent is given.

4.4 Marketing and targeting — consent required

These technologies identify who is visiting our site so that we can follow up with relevant business contacts, and so we can measure whether our campaigns work.

Instantly Website Visitors

We use a tracking pixel provided by Instantly. Unlike analytics, this technology is designed to identify visitors rather than count them. It works by matching your IP address and cookie identifiers against a commercial business contact database, which may allow us to identify the organisation you work for and, in some cases, you individually, along with the pages you viewed.

Where a visitor is identified in this way, we may add their business contact details to our records and contact them about our services. If we do, our first message to you will tell you where we obtained your details and how to object.

Instantly is based in the United States, so this involves a transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area. The transfer relies on [transfer mechanism to be confirmed — see the data processing agreement].

This is set only with your consent. If you reject marketing cookies, we will not attempt to identify you. You can object at any time by contacting [privacy@gosalessolutions.com], and we will add you to our suppression list permanently.

5. Cookies planned for future use

We may introduce the following in future. Nothing below is active today, and none of it will be set without your consent.

AnalyticsSyncHistory

The LinkedIn Insight Tag is a marketing technology and belongs in the marketing category, not analytics. When it goes live, this policy and the banner categories must be updated before the tag is deployed, not after.

Durations change. Vendors adjust cookie lifetimes without notice. Re-verify these tables at each review.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond, so we do not currently act on it. Our cookie banner gives you a direct and reliable way to control what is set.

7. Changes to this policy

We review this policy at least once a year and whenever we add or remove a cookie. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be signalled through the cookie banner and will require your consent again.
